For over 15+ years I find myself alone at night sitting in a pavilion alongside railroad tracks in Irondale, AL. This pictured (taken tonight) is the crossing signal right next to tracks at Whistle Stop Cafe in Irondale. It was one of the first things, if not the first thing, I ever shot a photograph of. I taught myself to use a camera in and around whistle stop photographing freights as they roll past and the random items nearby. No matter what kind of good/bad things are going on in my life at the time, I constantly find myself coming back here. This place always puts so many things into perspective regardless of the situation. I love it here.
